Michael Vehige is our Maintenance Manager. He has been with us now for over 38 years. Michael was born and raised in St. Charles County, Missouri. He graduated from St. Dominic in 1982. He attended several tech schools where he became proficient in welding.
Michael’s role as the Maintenance Manager is a vital one. He oversees the maintenance of our plants and over 100 different types of molds.
Michael’s favorite part of working for Champion is knowing not every day is the same. His favorite memory was adding a brand-new shop.
Michael enjoys fishing in his free time and listening to southern rock. His favorite band is Lynyrd Skynyrd. He also enjoys riding his Harley with his wife. Michael also likes spending time with his family at his lake house. Crappie fillets are his favorite meal.
An interesting fact about Michael is that he is 1 of 55 certified NHRA Chassis Inspectors in the United States. He has held this honor for the past 30 years.
